In his younger years Shun Oguri was a big fan of idol Yuuki Uchida and to meet her, he took acting classes. His acting debut took place at the age of 16 in year 1998 in the drama series "GTO". After taking up some bigger roles in the dramas "Gokusen" (2002) and "STAND UP!!" (2003), as well as in the "Azumi"-movies, he had his final breakthough with "Hana Yori Dango" in the autumn of 2005. Furthermore Shun Oguri is the host of the radio show "All Night Nippon" at the station JOLF (Nippon Broadcasting System) on wednesdays. Also he is active as voice actor and stage actor.
