Nikkei Trendy: Junpei Mizobata named "face of the year"

2009-11-03 - On Monday, the magazine Nikkei Trendy published its annual list of the top 30 products of the year. Leading the list were hybrid vehicles (the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight), followed by the non-alcoholic beverage Kirin Free and the popular video game Dragon Quest IX.

The title of "face of the year" was given to young actor Junpei Mizobata (20), who has also been gaining popularity as a TV show host in addition to his film and drama roles. This past year, he has played main characters in the dramas "Akai Ito," "BOSS," and "Buzzer Beat."
