2008-03-21 - 33-year-old actress Maiko Kikuchi announced on her blog that she gave birth to her first child on Wednesday. The baby girl was named Asuka.
Both Kikuchi and the child are said to be healthy, and they have already been discharged from the hospital. The actress will return to work with a stage play this October.
Kikuchi has been married since July of last year.
