After crashing into his colleagues car in a test-race the racer Jirou Kanzaki gets fired from the international league.
After his return to Japan he lives with his father in his children's home. Working as the school bus driver he gains the friendship of the children, but the educators are not happy with his interactions with the children. He is happy even to drive the school bus, but he is trying to get back to the race track. But as he gets too old for racing it's hard for him to find a new team and new sponsors supporting him. Will he really reach that goal? And what kind of influence will he have on the children?
