Synopsis:
Hana Yori Dango Returns for a sequel. Tsukushi Makino is Senior at Eitoku High School and about to graduate. Her family is still poor hence she agonizes with the decision if to go to work or go to college after graduation. Since F4 already graduated last year, school finally becomes normal again.
When Tsukasa Domyouji had to leave Tsukushi to go study in New York after loosing a bet to his mother, they swore to stay in contact with each other. Half a year afterwards, Tsukasa stopped any contact whatsoever to Tsukushi. This worries her a lot.
When Tsukushi opens her locker and receives a red note again, she follows Tsukasa to New York to take Tsukasa to task about it. When she confronts him, he simply tells her, he has outgrown her and the relationship. What she doesn't know is, that Tsukasa and his family's company are in big troubles and that he worries about this among other things. To his mother's joy, this drives Tsukushi and Tsukasa apart. Tsukushi experiences a totally different Tsukasa. One, that is behaving cold towards her and focused on his work only. Back in Japan, his mother has arranged a wedding with ulterior motives to achieve a merger. Can Tsukasa's sister and the other benefactors turn things around to help Tsukasa and Tsukushi to get their happily ever after? Or will Tsukushi give the relationship with Rui another shot?
