Synopsis:
Tsuyoshi Yamada is a whiny otaku, who likes to meet up with his otaku-friends in Akihabara after work. One day the beautiful Saori Aoyama is sitting opposite to him in the train on his way home and he is totally stunned by her. When she gets molested by a drunken guy, he decides to save her. A few days later he receives a set of porcelain of the luxurious brand Hermes by Saori to show her gratitude. Since he got no experience in dealing with women, he tells his story on an Internet bulletin board, where he calls himself "Densha Otoko" (Train-man) and Saori "Hermes" to ask for help. Will Tsuyoshi overcome his shyness towards women? What will become of the two of them? And what will the wealthy Saori think about Tsuyoshi being an otaku?
