Synopsis:
Tsukushi Makino is growing up in a family with a mid family income, but because her parents are worried about her education, they stinted themselves for years to pay the fees for the private school Eitoku Gakuen. Except for Tsukushi only children from wealthy families are at Eitoku Gakuen, also the four richest sons in Japan, known as F4 (short for Flower 4). They are consisting of the leader and richest pupil at the school Tsukasa Domyoji, son of a worldwide operating big company-dynasty, the reserved and thoughtful Rui Hanazawa, whose father is the president of a large corporation, Soujirou Nishikado, heir of the tea-dynasty of his parents, and Akira Mimasaka, whose father is in the mafia-business.
Because their parents are donating lots of money to the school the F4 are making the laws. If they don't like a fellow pupil anymore, he gets a red F4-paper hanging in his locker, then the other pupils have to bully him. When Tsukushi defends her friend and stands up to Tsukasa she also gets a red paper, but in the course of the war Tsukasa falls in love with her. But she is adoring her savior and Tsukasa's best friend Rui...
